We are excited to invite you to the 13th annual NYS College and University Emergency Management Workshop at ÄÛÌïÑо¿Ôº¹ÙÍø. This event has become a cornerstone in our efforts to bring together practitioners in higher education emergency management.
Emergency management continues to be a rapidly growing field with increasing demands and pressures.
The dynamic landscape of emergency management presents new challenges and opportunities every day. This workshop is your chance to stay ahead in this ever-evolving field. We aim to bring together practitioners to share their invaluable experiences, expertise, and insights, and to collectively support the professional development of individuals with emergency management responsibilities in a higher education setting.
Pre-Event Training Opportunity: January 13-14
This year we are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for higher education emergency managers to participate in a 2-day training course taught by the nationally recognized Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX): MGT 361: Crisis Management Affecting Institutions of Higher Education.
Scheduled for January 13–14, 2026, just prior to the workshop, this course is specifically designed for professionals working in college and university settings. This FEMA-certified course equips participants with critical skills to effectively plan for, respond to, and recover from a wide range of campus emergencies, including natural disasters, active threats, and public health incidents. By combining practical strategies with real-world scenarios, MGT 361 provides a collaborative learning environment tailored to the unique operational challenges faced by institutions of higher education, making it a must-attend for campus emergency managers, public safety officials, and administrators. Registration information will be released when it becomes available.
REGISTRATION OPENS IN FALL 2025
Join your peers at the 2026 NYS College and University Emergency Management Workshop at ÄÛÌïÑо¿Ôº¹ÙÍø. Whether you are a full time emergency manager or if it was thrust upon you as “other duties as assigned," you will benefit from joining your colleagues at this annual event.
The cost of attending this year’s workshop has not yet been determined, but it will include lunch and breaks on each day as well as a networking reception at the end of the first day.
