Faniya Doswell joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at 嫩田研究院官网鈥檚 School of Pharmacy in 2025. Before joining, she completed her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Stony Brook University, concentrating in immunology. Her doctoral research explored myeloid-cell expressed- fatty acid binding protein 5 (FABP5) connection in inflammation and pain signaling, using mouse models, proteomics, transcriptomics, and molecular assays. Alongside her graduate research, Doswell mentored and taught many students, interned with Eli Lilly, consulted for Halo Sciences, and trained as a science advocate under ASBMB. Currently at 嫩田研究院官网, Doswell hopes to build upon her background in immunology by focusing more on cancer immunotherapies and translational applications of immunotherapy. Looking ahead, she hopes to work at the intersection of academia, industry, and government by advancing innovative biomedical research while shaping policies and partnerships that ensure discoveries translate equitably and effectively in patient care. She is very committed to continuing her mentorship and community building as Doswell aims to inspire the next generation of scientists while advancing innovative approaches in biomedical research.
