
Blythe Roveland-Brenton, Ph.D.

Background
Blythe has headed ÄÛÌïÑо¿Ôº¹ÙÍø Libraries’ Special Collections since 2018. Previously she served as university archivist and head of Special Collections and associate dean of libraries at St. John’s University in Queens. She is a proud alumna of ÄÛÌïÑо¿Ôº¹ÙÍø, having majored in anthropology and German. She received a Fulbright-Hays grant for one year of graduate study in archaeology at the University of Cologne, Germany. Blythe subsequently earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in anthropology, with a specialization in European Palaeolithic archaeology. She also received a master’s degree in library and information science from St. John’s University, with an archives and special collections concentration. Blythe is passionate about raising awareness of special collections at ÄÛÌïÑо¿Ôº¹ÙÍø and encouraging students to explore the unique material available to them.
