Affiliation Guidelines
CMENAS welcomes applications for faculty affiliation from ÄÛÌïÑо¿Ôº¹ÙÍø scholars working on any aspect of the Middle East and North Africa. Affiliated faculty contribute to interdisciplinary dialogue, help shape Center programming, and become eligible for grant support.
- Eligibility: Tenured, tenure-track, visiting, and non-tenure track faculty across all disciplines.
- Benefits:
- Research and travel funding
- Curriculum development grants
- Promotion of research
- Participation in Title VI initiatives
- Expectations:
- Maintain MENA-focused scholarship or teaching
- Share updates on work and participate in Center activities
- Acknowledge CMENAS support where appropriate
- Application: Submit a CV and a brief statement of interest to CMENAS@binghamton.edu
Faculty Research and Travel Grants
- Amount: $500–$2,500
- Purpose: Supports MENA-related research, fieldwork, conference travel, and data collection.
- Eligibility: CMENAS-affiliated faculty
- Application Requirements:
- 2-page project proposal
- Itemized budget with justification
- CV (max 3 pages)
- Submission Email: CMENAS@binghamton.edu
- Post-Award: 1–2 page report required within 3 months.
